Hi,
I'm new to HD and recording wit a SonyV5U HDV 1080i
Which is the best recording setting
24p or 30p?
I notice 30p allows me to scan recorded footage better.
Any advice would be appreciated

it depends from your customer requirement: 24P is better for Cinema... 30P can be translated better into TV SD format. Usually 29.97P should be much more appropriate than 30p.
are you shooting in 720p or 1080p?

I did not notice a third option which I have been advised is the best setting which is 60i for shooting in 1080i
Do you agree?
