Hi, in the IVS Recode, in the Conversion Properties, there is a codec section where we set side (SD/HD) abd in there is a choice for MB/s, Mbits/s etc, then next to that a spinner set to 12, that goes up to 50.

It was this control I wasrefering to in my previous post. Does this not control the quality of this in coming DPS file ?

Cheers

Richard

yes this is the control for quality and 50MB/s is equal to 400Mbit/s. The next higher value is Uncompressed (but you have to check it). The banding could be not related to the compression but to YUV 4:2:2 so also uncompressed could not help. Can you send me some TGA frames enough to see the effect?

sorry, my fault, and thanks for the clairification on the MB's. It was banding from Fusion as far as I can tell.

Sorry for that confusion

Cheers

cant you export from Fusion as DPS uncompressed(in order to try to understand if the banding is due to compression or to color space 4:2:2)?
To avoid banding due to color space conversion, Eyeon guys tell to add random grain to the graphics. In many cases it helps.
