Have loaded up IVS 347 on top of black magic HD Extreme card onto xp64 8 core xeon machine and am having a few issues. The raw footage is EX mp4 files that I have been able to edit natively using IVS and apart from a few crashes seemed to work although lip sync was not always right especially the longer the project got. So I thought I would try to render the files into dps high def 1080i files to see if I could get an improvement (as I believe mp4 files are not great for syncing thanks for that info roberto) but it seems I am unable to import more than 1 or 2 files at a time to render them into dps files to try it out that way. I can do one at a time but as I have 2500 files that may take me just a bit too long so forced to edit in native mp4. So is there ever going to be a way where the render can take afile one at a time from a folder render it and go automatically off and get the next one then you could at least leave over night to render into dps 1080i files. Also once it has actually imported the file it renders very fast jsut takes so long to import |

I have done one quick trial on my same machine under xp32 and have had trouble loading ivs as it throws an error effects.dll and shuts down, so will check everything is ok and try again in case it is hardware related |

Please move your Xeon system to Seven 64. For HD editing Seven 64 is recommended. About effect.dll it is not changed from several time... many users are already using build 347 without this problem with Xp32

Yes I thought there must be something wrong as it is fine on xp64 which is on the same machine. You mentioned seven 64 I am assuming you mean windows7 64 bit? |

about ivsRecode: can you confirm it is accepting only one file for time?

no it will do more than one at a time but the time it takes to load up before you are able to hit the render button vary s quite a bit but usually is quite a long time. usually longer than it takes to actually render the file once it has loaded. I have had up to about 15 files at a time loaded on occasions but if you over do it the computer simply spins and locks up, so you have to crash out of it. and then try agin with less files. would be nice to have a watch folder. |
