Can we capture (with firewire or blackmagic) HD footage and edit HD footage with the powerpack in Velocity? I am doing acquisition with a JVC HD GY100u camera and would like to capture and edit the HDV footage within velocity.
I am aware that we can output HD through a Blackmagic card with the ivsDECKLINKout in the powerpack through Velocity.
I know this sounds like a similar question to the Progressive scan question, however, I am trying to be clear on this in my mind.
Thanks,
Al

Hello Al,
Velocity3D and VelocityQ can edit SD footage only. ivsPowerPack allows to capture/convert and downscale your footage at the same time, preserving quality. To edit HD footage you have to use VelocityHD or ivsEdits.
Best Regards,

Paolo

I thought that was the answer. But I wanted to be sure. I'll be looking forward to IVS Edits release.
Thanks,
Al
