This is a 2 part question: 1) Will we be able to do in software switching of capture hardware and output hardware from a Harris card to firewire to black magic card in the same computer system?
2) Also, HDMI is the up and coming high quality (and now here) input/output. Will we be able to use HDMI in and out?
I would like to capture maybe from firewire (Ieee) for HDV from my JVC HD 100U camera or from the HD YUV of the Blackmagic card and output from either firewire or blackmagic or possibly harris cards also. It would be great to have maybe a drop down list of cards to choose from for output and capture from within the IVS Edits software.
I believe that HDMI will be standard in the future on cameras for output at the least. HDMI capability is important. |

Hello Texas MM, ivsEdits already supports HDMI I/O through Black Magic Design hardware. ivsEdits v.1.0 supports, as hardware devices, Black Magic Design hardware and Firewire OHCI cards. The drop down list is already available in our capture software ivsEncoder (part of ivsEdits), that already supports all JVC HD cameras (GY-HD100, HD110, HD200, HD250). Best Regards,

Great. I thought as much would be true. However, I don't like to assume. It is always best to ask. Thanks |
