Posted - 15/10/2011 : 16:02:31 Can anyone help with how to convert an Altitude (.lta) file to one that can be used in Velocity Q? I have edited a standard 4:3 project in Velocity HD version 9 using 16x9 footage and need to output it as SD 4:3 letterboxed. Does anyone know how to do this ? I have wasted 2 days so far trying to figure out how I can make this work. Also .... I can't seem to get dv output through the iee 1394 card. I can capture using it from a DV or HDV source but when playing back from the timeline, I do not seem to get any output through the iee 1394 so I can put the edited project back to DV
Any suggestions or help would really be appreciated.

Posted - 15/10/2011 : 16:43:36 If remember right, Veloity Q 9.1.65 can support playback of .lta/.ltv if the Pc is enough powerful. You have to enable RT Playback to run not native formats on the Timeline. This option can be enabled with a right click on any empty track on Timline. IEEE 1394 output works only cross Print to Tape. The continuous DV outtput is available only on Quattrus or Reality if the optional SDV - DVI cards are installed. About the 16:9 to 4:3 LB Velocity 9 offers very poor quality, you should use Velocity 10 or ivsPowerPack to get an high quality result.
