Hi Editors:
I'm in the market for a used Leitch - Altitude HD boardset at a good price, so if you have an extra Altitude HD board kicking around, then don't hesitate to drop me a line at fc65@sympatico.ca . I need it to be operational in NTSC. I understand the Altitude boards are dual standard PAL-NTSC ? Is this correct ?

Hi Mark,

I do have a complete Altitude HD system for sale. I am not selling it in pieces though. It is actually a brand new system with two dual core Opteron 280 CPU's, Tyan MB, 4GB Memory, Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX Ultra, PC Power & Cooling 1KW Turbo Cool Single Rail 12v power supply.

The Velocity HD bundle is the full product with Dual SCSI, 3D-DVE, Breakout Box and even includes a brand new breakout cable as well. I have Velocity version 10, but have not installed it yet.

I also have a near brand new Sony DSR-1500a with the optional SDI I/O board and an equally nice Sony DSR-PD170.

I am a system builder and was the northeast Harris/leitch/DPS dealer for over 10 years. This equipment has not been used for production as it was my demo equipment. I did not get a chance to demo it much due to the cost in comparison to Canopus or Blackmagic products. The system that I mentioned above has never been setup and turned on yet. The components where selected in consultation with Emilio in the Harris testing department a few years back. I am not sure what my selling price would be but as you know these systems really kick ass and now with V10, it has got some good life ahead.

The boards are currently in a dual 3GHz Xeon system with a SuperMicro server board, 2GB RAM, Quadro 980GTX AGP, Dual DVD Burners, Turtle Beach Monteray Sound Card, 73GB 15k rpm system drive, WinXP Pro.
