Will we possibly be able to use some sort of photoshop (*.psd) files imported directly on the timeline? All layers don't need to be supported. But a few would be nice if possible, such as an alpha channel.

That's not that big a deal to deal with. It sounds like all I would have to do is enlarge the canvas of the photoshop pic a bit to deal with the 1 pixel shrinkage. Not a problem to fix, as long as long as I know what is causing the problem.

Al,
the file has a resulted alpha channel "shrinked" by 1 pixel, so, if your alpha has sharp edges, there is a 1 pixel difference. It is not much, but in some circumstancies you can notice it. This problem is not due to us, but until ivsEdits is not released, we can't release any ivsPSDimport update (time is an important resource!)
Best Regards,

Paolo

What do the defects on the transparent PSD look like? I haven't used the plugin.

We aren't using ivspowerpack with our velocity 7 system yet. I wasn't aware of that feature. That is good to know.
roberto.castellano Posted - 11/04/2008 : 16:15:44
ivsPowerPack already adds this feature also for older Velocity 7 and 8 so why you are suspecting we will not offer this feature in ivsEdits?

Please note: Actually our PSD plugin shows the same defects on trasparent PSD handling you can see also in Velocity 9/10 or in Fusion.
